An 8th Grade Annual Course. In-Depth exploration of Ceramics not only as a 3-Dimensional art medium, but a survey of the geology and chemistry of clay and glazes, industrial and bioceramics applications, and STEAM career opportunities involving Ceramics. Using clay as our medium, we build STEAM experiences relevant to the real world, and celebrate our many failures in the process of creating.

JTMS' chapter of the National Junior Art Honor Society, sponsored by Mrs. Butler and the National Art Education Association (NAEA). Members gain peer support and recognition, service learning experiences using the process of creating, publication in NAHS News (the semiannual, full-color digital publication of the NAHS program), and possible inclusion in the annual NAHS/NJAHS Juried Exhibition held at the NAEA Studio & Gallery. Art Club students sponsor the annual JTMS Chalk Walk, and other events in March, to celebrate National Youth Art Month.
